The business

We all know there has been a shift in consumer awareness and alertness to sustainability, ethical fair trading, environmentally positive and local low carbon options. The consumer also expects an effortless browsing and buying experience, plus endless choice.

All together that presents massive opportunity for this start-up venture. 

They have the funding, the management team and the non-exec advisory board in place providing day2day input.

The platform is being built by 3rd parties and now needs taking in-house. It's basic at present and needs a caring pair of arms around it, to build it into something spectacular.

The Software Engineer role

Shape, build and develop a new platform. We need innovation. We will run with good ideas. It's new, it's exciting and it's about leading the way.

Full-stack engineering. LAMP stack - on GCP 

Your responsibilities will be broad - we are a start-up and this is not for the faint hearted - but it's really exciting and should grow to be huge!

To outline a few key responsibilities -

Produce software products that are user-friendly, device responsive, effective and appealing
Take an idea from conception and see it all the way through to production.
Active contribution to ideation will be valued, with a view to enhancing and developing the platform.
PHP, Google Cloud (GCP), LAMP stack....it's all open to change ...whatever is best for purpose
Developing the DevOps CI CD pipeline

We aren't box-ticking to find the ideal candidate profile for this role. This is about hearts and minds, attitude and enthusiasm, as much as it is about technical experience.  You will need some knowledge of the tech stack, to be able to hit the ground running, but what you don't know you will need to learn pretty quickly.
