Hybrid (2 days in office – Manchester)

We are looking for a technically driven Software Developer with a passion for continuous learning, particularly in back-end programming and distributed systems.

The team is working on Linux-based platforms and open-source technologies, focusing on creating scalable solutions to handle high transaction volumes.

You'll receive training and primarily work with Golang and/or Erlang, making this an exciting opportunity for developers eager to explore new languages and expand their skill sets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop low-latency, scalable, and highly available solutions
• Design concurrent, distributed components for high-volume systems
• Work with Linux and GNU utilities to enhance platform performance
• Support and enhance existing codebases
• Identify technical areas of improvement and contribute to solution proposals
• Create work effort estimates and ensure timely delivery

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience in server-side development, messaging, and middleware
• Experience with C#, .Net, and microservices.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and complex event processing
• Problem-solving mindset with strong communication and teamwork skills
• Client/server development experience
• Strong academic background or relevant industry experience
